COVID Risk after Reopening: Things to Consider
We have seen churches in South Georgia who had already begun or were about to begin in-person worship but had to suspend or delay their plans because someone tested positive for the coronavirus - whether it was a staff member or a congregation member - or because there was a flare-up in the community. We acknowledge this may be the ebb and flow of the virus until there is a vaccine. We would like to encourage all of our churches to have plans in place.

Getting Ready to Return contingency planning resource | Restart Conversations: Zoom @ Noons
While we look forward to the day we can worship together in-person, the way we once gathered will inevitably look different. This reality is leading us to create contingency plans for the reopening of church buildings in order to help our congregation prepare for this new way of gathering in the future. Slowly phasing in gatherings over a period of time can benefit our faith community by putting the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional health of our congregations first. "Getting Ready to Return" is a resource that will help help you think through various points of consideration as your church implements new methods and procedures to prepare your operations for the changes in the way we gather and worship.
