Georgia Pastors’ School – July 23-26
Georgia Pastors' School provides inspiration, education, fellowship, fun and relaxation for North and South Georgia clergy and their families. Active and retired United Methodist clergy and their families are invited to experience this combination of continuing education and personal renewal. Held July 23-26 at Epworth By The Sea on St. Simons Island, the school follows a class schedule that provides an opportunity for fellowship and recreation. Clergy Sexual Ethics Workshop – Sept. 13
A Sexual Ethics Workshop is scheduled for Sept. 13 at St. Paul UMC in Columbus from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. This workshop is required every three years for persons serving under appointment by the Bishop (clergy, local pastors, extension ministers, appointed lay speakers). Spouses and lay employees who are not appointed by the bishop are not eligible to attend the workshop.
Methodist Children’s Home Sunday – Sept. 16

The 42nd Annual J.D. Tygart Valdosta District Camp Meeting is set for Sunday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. Preachers will be: Rev. Keith Goodlett (Sunday), Rev. Church Historian Workshop – Sept. 19-20

World Communion Day – Oct. 7
World Communion Day is Sunday, Oct. 7. World Communion Sunday is one of the six churchwide Special Sundays of The United Methodist Church. World Communion Sunday provides scholarships for U.S. racial- and ethnic-minority students and international students, on both undergraduate and graduate levels.
