Magnolia Manor is pleased to announce the release of Dr. W. Aubrey Alsobrook’s newest book, “Life with God.”
Dr. Alsobrook is a native of Georgia and has been a member of the South Georgia Annual Conference for 70 years. He earned his bachelors’ and master’s degrees in philosophy and divinity from Emory University and his doctorate from Drew University. He has served pastorates across South Georgia and served for five years as the Superintendent of the Waycross District.
Dr. Alsobrook’s newest book, “Life with God,” is a collection of 36 stimulating reflections on scripture passages through the deep faith of a loving pastor with many years of experience. It is a wonderful devotional guide for the beginning of the new year. Most of all, this book is a loving invitation for readers to participate in life with God from one who has walked his own long journey close to God.
Dr. Alsobrook has dedicated his book to his fellow residents of Magnolia Manor, and all proceeds from the sale of the book will go to The League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor’s compassionate assistance program for residents. Because of The League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor has been able to keep a vital promise to senior adults for some 47 years: “No one will ever have to leave the Manor due to their inability to fully pay for the cost of care.”
The cover of Dr. Alsobrook’s new book is marked by an extended pair of hands. In his writings, Aubrey reminds the reader of the supportive hands of God. In his generous designation of book proceeds to the League, Aubrey extends caring hands of love to his fellow residents.
You may obtain a copy of Dr. Alsobrook’s “Life with God” for $15 by contacting Diane Smith in the Development Office at Magnolia Manor, 2001 South Lee Street, Americus, GA 31709, (229) 931-5922 or email her at dsmith@magnoliamanor.com.
