Obituary: Rev. Grady Estes Vance

Grady Estes Vance 74, went home to be with his Lord on January 24, 2023. He was born in Atlanta, GA on January 12, 1949 to the late George and Kathleen Vance. Grady served proudly in the United States Marine Corp for 6 years. He was a Viet Nam Veteran and a true patriot who loved God and country. He graduated from Emory University with a Masters in Divinity and served in The United Methodist Church for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Grady had a very contagious laugh and possessed the gift of being loud. His hugs were big and memorable. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 4 to 6 PM. There will be a ceremony and interment at Georgia Veteran Memorial Cemetery on February 1, 2023 at 11 AM.
Grady is survived by his loving wife Dianne Vance sons Grady Estes Vance II (Becky), Richard John Vance (Nicole), daughter Melanie Vance Register, grandchildren Ashley Dianne Houston (Randall), Megan Elizabeth Register, William Alexander Register, Lexis Victoria Vance, Noah Isaac McBride, Jesse Thomas McBride, brothers George Richard Vance, Doug Leon Vance and numerous nieces and nephews.
